Houdini had his two week vet check-up on Friday.

He's doing much better. According to the Xrays, he still has the stones, but there are much fewer crystals. The infection has cleared up, and he's much more active. Very displeased with us for leaving him there for the day, but much better.

We can't stop the meds and the treatment, because unfortunately, there is always the possibility that the blood will return and if that happens then we have to rush him back to the vet as quickly as possible. In the meantime, we'll be watching him closely. Considering one of our Bichons had bladder stones as well, we'll be treating Houdini with the same methods that we did for our dog. We just have to figure out ...how. Potassium Citrate breaks down bladder stones, and so once we figure out how to mix that in with his food or be able to find a liquid version then we'll be doing that. Hopefully it will clear them up.

As for my grandfather, he's been better. We picked up sodium tablets for him, and he immediately started to perk up and look better for a couple days. Now, rather suddenly, he's started wheezing and they've discovered liquid in his lungs. He's been very weak and raspy lately. So we're very concerned with that.

Besides that, I guess I took a bit of a kicking yesterday. I had an interview at an art store, and...given my obvious profession... being told I don't have enough product knowledge rather hurt a bit. I felt a fool when I met Alex in Chapters, because with all that has been happening in life, I had really been looking forward to a full time career in something art related, and I couldn't help bursting into tears in the middle of the Starbucks. Thankfully, we were on the Bohemian avenue of the city, so no one looked at me strangely. Because, blissfully, everyone is strange there. (It's my favourite place in the entire city!)

But I'm looking at this from a religious stand point for once. That there are other plans for me. I'm not sure what they are, but that something else will come along for me, and I'll be able to help my family.

...I've rambled. I apologize. This was meant to be an update for all of you, but I ended up venting a bit. I'll stop now. But I will say that I'm almost caught up on my external commissions, so Alex and I will begin working on the commissions here soon enough. I'll build a web page for commission status for the studio so that you can all see what we're working on at any given time. This way, those of you who have commissioned us will be able to keep track of progress.

Next to that, as I've stated on the main page, RM is on hold until things sort of... level out a bit in our lives. It's very hard to focus feelings of happiness and love into a story when you're not feeling much of that at the moment. I hope you'll all understand.
